Semalem akhirnya nemu buku2 cerita silat... di sebuah China Town ( lg liak2 imlek fest), rada excited ngliat harga yg ditawarin walopun ada diskon khusus kl beli byk.. dulu cm sekitar 7ribuan pas skrg uda 5digit/buku plgi kali series bisa 7digit/pack errrgh...matrek bgt yaa... *&^%$#! mana di segel lagi, kan gak bisa nyicil baca. gimana mau cerdas kl buku aja msh susah kebeli yaa... gimana mau sakti juga coba...hmmm kalo gak inget semua buku2ku yg uda raib dulu.. rasanya males .tapi gak ding.. mumpung bisa nemu, .... apalagi sbg seorang trah keluarga pendekar gw kudu mengkudu melestarikan setiap jurus2 warisan dalam dunia Kang Ouw.... *mulai gelap* :-D..

Tjan Ing Djoe Spesial Karya Khu Lung Tjan Ing Djoe atau lebih dikenal dengan Tjan ID adalah OKT. Dari jumlah buku yang pernah disadur atau diterjemahkan dari bahasa aslinya, Tjan ID menerjemahkan tidak kurang dari 93 judul yang setara dengan hampir 2.188 jilid cerita silat. Lahir pada 1949, Tjan mulai menerjemahkan cerita silat di usia 19 saat kuliah di Universitas Diponegoro Semarang.

Pada awal karier penulisannya Tjan banyak dibantu oleh OKT yang juga mengajarinya teknik menerjemahkan dari bahasa Cina. Tjan ID juga seorang yang unik. Tak seperti para penerjemah lainnya, walau produktif, Tjan tidak pernah memakai kertas karbon ketika mengetik untuk naskah terjemahannya. Akibatnya ketika gelora penerjemahan cerita silat kembali muncul, Tjan ID harus kehilangan sebagian besar naskah karyanya yang hilang atau habis dimakan rayap.

Sekitar 20 karya Khu Lung telah diterjemahkannya sekaligus membawanya sebagai penerjemah spesialis karya Khu Lung. Ia terkenal sebagai penerjemah yang sangat setia pada naskah aslinya. Golok Kemala Hijau pada 1974 diakui sebagai karya terjemahannya yang pertama.

The long awaited new album «Gods Of War» is Manowars first entry in a cycle of concept albums, each a tribute to a different war god. Opening with the epic piece «Overture To The Hymn Of The Immortal Warriors», the tone is set for an album beyond anything Manowar has done before. This album honors Odin - almighty father of the Norse gods - and details the history and exploits of this storied character. Manowar did right writing an album quite different as may many expected, a well done concept album with a great story and packed with lots of epic moments.

The new Masterplan album MK II just entered the german Media Control Charts on position No. 41. Masterplan studio album "Mark II" finally released on February 23rd. The few people who've had the chance to listen to the whole album are totally amazed with the work of the line up and they all agree that the new members; vocalist Mike DiMeo and drummer Mike Terrana, fit perfectly with the rest of the band and take the band forward to the next stage. Calling the album, "Mark II", the band totally agree, and you'll all be able to check the new line up out on tour very soon with Saxon and Rose Tattoo.

Kemaren hari sabtu liat Jiffest dari jam 13.30 trus nyambung sampe malem jam21.00, sebelumnya sempet ngejar bookfair di jhcc trus jam 19.00 udah nongkrong di EX plaza indonesia studio buat ngantri film ini. Hmmm, seperti dugaan semula pasti antrian akan panjang layaknya nonton konser besar. Setelah nunggu lama lesehan di depan pintu studio 3 sambil becanda2 pegel, yudi dan keke gak tahan buat nunggu saking gempitanya calon penonton. Akhirnya mereka mundur balik, tinggal gw berdua sama indri dan anak2 penggila metal lain ( gw sih engga, Cuma pengamat sosial :-p ). Dari banyak penonton, ternyata mereka semua sebagian besar melakukan penyamaran dengan tidak berdandan metal ( baca : black - RED ) eheheh… gw tau dah kamsutnya :-) pada manis2 gitu. Tambah mendekati jam pertunjukan antrian tambah menggila sampe jauh ke lorong lobby, hingga saat panitia tiba2 ngumumin tempat di pindah di studio 1 huwww… penonton dengan mengumpat dan menggelombang *bahasa yg aneh* mulai kukut pindah tempat dan antri lagi depan pintu studio 1 berjejal, berhimpitan dan bersendau gurau *tetep* dan 45 menit sebelum jam mulai tiba2 diumumin lagi kudu pindah lobby buat ambil tiket sdr… cuuiih, ngerjain banget nih. Baru kali ini mungkin EX kebanjiran penonton sebanyak ini. Dan teng jam 19.00 pintu dibuka, gw ama indri langsung ambil seat tepat di tengah biar dapet angle yg bagus. Untung film musikal gini muternya di EX, jadi kualitas sounds-nya pun terdengar soft gak pecah. Okeh gw bahas film-nya dikiit ajah deh...

Film dokumenter ini di tulis dan di sutradarai oleh seorang Antropolog Sam Dunn ( 30 ), seorang metal head sejati. Dimulai dari sejarah2 metal.. Kenapa musti pake simbol 3 jari, headbengar dan pengelompokan musik metal dari awal 1966 ( early metal ) hingga dikelompokkan per dekade until present, ada mulai dari early metal, deep black metal, pure hard rock, glam metal, norwegian black metal, new wave black metal dll. Gw gak akan cerita detail, tapi yang patut di acungi jempol dari film ini si Sam Dunn bisa dapet narasumber komen langsung dari dedengkot2 metal yg udah tuwir sekalipun macem Alice Cooper, Bruce Dickinson, Alex Webster, Slipknot, Ghaal, Dee Snider, Doro, Ihsahn, Ronnie james Dio dll. Gak ketinggalan komen2 dari para sosiolog lain, yg kocak juga komen mabok dari Mayhem, Rush, Kiss dll :-D Asik banget dia melakukan trip untuk bisa mewujudkan film ini langsung dari tempat asal dan kejadian dia keliling dari UK, Germany, Norway, Canada and the US.

Setelah wiken kemaren berada di tempat yang jauh dari peradaban dunia, sepi tak bertuan... hari ini gw pgn ndengerin sesuatu yg liar, aneh dan unussual... cari2 di laci ternyata nemu koleksi lama ; MANOWAR…. ( American heavy metal, lahir di Auburn, NY 1980 ) disamping sound-nya yang aneh dari pertama gw seneng aja liat gambar2 kartun-nya yg fantastik :-D... emang rada bising tapi melodi tertata, lumayanlah mengobati kerinduan. Anggotanya ( kalo gak salah lho ) :

Yeaa this is a bit review :

Joey Demaio was working as a bass tech / pyrothecnic for Black Sabbath when he met with guitarist Ross the Boss, playing for a group called Shakin Street a Black Sabbath support band. They later recruited Eric Adams for vocals and Donnie Hamzik for the drums, to create Manowar — a band with an unusual epic sound. Manowar recorded Battle Hymns, their debut album, which featured "Dark Avenger", a slow epic track with narration by Orson Welles (Welles later returned on the Fighting The World album and did the narration on another slow track called "Defender").
Their second album, Into Glory Ride was the first to feature Scott Columbus as drummer. Because of his viciousness behind the drums, standard kits simply collapsed. Custom stainless steel kits had to be built just for him. Their third album, titled Hail to England was mixed and recorded in only six days. The band's "Spectacle of Might" tour of Great Britain is subject to claims that the loudness of one of the band's performances was measured at 129.5 decibels.

In 1984, Manowar found themselves in the book GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS as the "loudest band in the world," following the release, and during the supporting tour, of their fourth album Sign of the Hammer The 1992 release of The Triumph of Steel, and its subsequent tour, saw Manowar break their own Guinness record, again being named "Loudest Band in the World."

The latest Manowar recordings are the songs "King of Kings" and "The Ascension", released in 2005 with their latest DVD Hell on Earth Part IV. A new single was planned for release on February 27 2006, containing the ten-minute unreleased epic "Sons of Odin" as well as a rerecording of "King of Kings". This single seems to have been postponed for an undecided date, however, as no release has taken place yet. No information has of yet been posted on their official website concerning this delay.

The release of their next album, which was scheduled for April 3, 2006, will be delayed due to severe left arm injuries sustained by guitarist Karl Logan during a motorcycle accident on January 24, 2006. He will be unable to perform for an unknown period of time, but is expected to recover.
